The Story behind the NH Nanobrew Renaissance
Hosted by Seacoast Local, Discover Portsmouth, and the Governor’s Live Free and Start Advisory Council.
In 2011, New Hampshire became the first state in the union to recognize Nanobreweries: small batch brewers who produce fewer than 2,000 barrels of beer per year. Since then 21 New Hampshire Nanobrewries have opened for business and another 29 plan to start brewing over the next year.
Join us on Friday night, 2/27 to hear a frothy tale of intrepid entrepreneurship, smart public policy, and proud, local self-reliance:
- The History of NH Brewing – Mark Chag, Granite State Growler Tours
- NH Nanobrew Legislation – Kevin Bloom, Political Action Director at the New Hampshire Liberty Alliance
- Panel Discussion of NH Nanobrewers
- Beer Sampling Session – Talk with brewers, mix, mingle and sample delicious, locally brewed beer.
