Plaid Friday Seacoast

is the colorful, local alternative to Black Friday — a celebration of our unique and creative locally owned businesses who add diversity, care, and community to our shopping experience.

Every dollar spent at a locally owned, independent business generates 2-3 times more economic activity in our communities than a dollar spent at a national chain, and benefits all of us much more than a dollar spent online. With American shoppers projected to spend upwards of $800 per person this year during the holiday season, that’s a lot of energy to power our local economy.

Last year, hundreds of community members and businesses spread the word with Plaid Friday on the Seacoast by wearing plaid, shopping local… and taking selfies.
